hi all , looking for some advice on unhooking/releasing a fish on a long leader. i have started to use a 15ft leader this season but i`m having a difficult time trying to release the fish i catch because of the length.
should i let the leader back through the tip ring to help with unhooking ?.

I use an 11' rod with a 12' leader and I am only 5'4" and it works for me
(not by choice - long rod and leader - short arms :-) )
