I was up at Selmmuir for a look about today and a chat with John. I was there for a couple of hours and was glad to see the fishery returning to it's best. A couple of anglers arrived a while after me and were soon into fish. One was fishing dries and the other on a mini cats just sub surface. John brought his rod out for about 5 mins and took a nice rainbow on about his 5th cast on a Klink.

I must say that both the condiition of the fishery and the fishing seem to be improving all the time and I'm sure that the improvements will continue. If you haven't been back to Selmmuir for a while or if you have never fished it before I'd recommend a visit.

I hope to get my own rod up there very soon.
